- Age verification: if you choose to enter the 18+ chatroom, your date of birth.
- Posts & messages: the text, photos, events, meetups, club posts, chat messages, and direct messages ("DMs") you submit.
- Bookmarks & RSVPs: the posts you save and the meetups or events you RSVP to.
- Business claims: the business you claim and any verification message you provide.
- Moderator applications: the responses you submit when applying to join the moderator team.
- Contact inquiries: name, email, subject, and message when you write to us through the contact page.
Information collected automatically
- Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps — used for security and to keep the site running.

2. How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the site;
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure;
- To display your posts, events, and listings to other users;
- To gate access to age-restricted chatrooms;

3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:
- Publicly: content you choose to post (posts, comments, events, meetups, club posts, business listings) is visible to other users and may be indexed by search engines.
- Within clubs: posts inside a club are visible to its members.
- With message recipients: DMs are visible to the participants in the thread. Moderators and staff may access reported threads when investigating Terms violations.
- Service providers: our hosting and backend provider (Lovable Cloud) processes data on our behalf. We use Google Places to retrieve public information about local businesses (name, address, photos).
- Legal: if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
3a. Direct messages and moderation access
DMs are stored on our infrastructure and protected by row-level security so that, by default, only the participants in a thread can read it. They are not end-to-end encrypted. When a message is reported, or when we have a reasonable belief that the Terms are being violated, moderators or staff may review the thread. Don't share passwords, payment details, or anything you wouldn't want a moderator to see if reported.
4. Data retention
We keep account data while your account is active. Posts and listings remain until you delete them or your account. Contact inquiries are kept as long as needed to respond and for reasonable record-keeping. You may request deletion at any time via the contact page.
5. Your rights & choices
- Access, update, or delete the information in your profile;
- Delete posts, listings, or chat messages you authored;
- Close your account by contacting us;
- Residents of California and other jurisdictions may have additional rights under applicable law (e.g., CCPA/CPRA). Contact us to exercise them.
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted transport (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Third-party links
The site may link to external websites (event venues, business websites, etc.). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before sharing personal information.
